Check out my blog for information on my latest project.

I began woodworking in earnest in 1984 when I had to build a small cabinet for our 1949s duplex that was a bit short on storage and counters space in its bathroom. My ever-expanding workshop and interest in woodworking has turned my hobby into a business, building bookshelves, tables, custom jewelry boxes, cremation urns, cutting boards, and Shaker boxes.

I became intrigued with Shaker boxes on a visit to Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill in Kentucky on a Thanksgiving weekend trip in 2002. In May of 2003, I took a class on Shaker box construction at Woodcraft in Cincinnati.

I continued my training in the craft of Shaker style furniture at Kelley Mehler’s School of Woodworking in Berea, Kentucky in April of 2005.
